My First Nail Polish Post - Chanel Madness

*Post originally written by Olivia J on The Unknown Beauty Blog. If you see this post elsewhere, it has been stolen!**

Yes, this is my first nail polish post and I have to say that it feels funny because I usually skip polish. You see I am a former nail polish addict who had successfully gotten rid of 100+ nail polishes and a fifth of those were Chanel.

I quit nail polish after a fiasco I had with one of them, I was rolling the bottle in the palm of my hand(Nail techs told me to roll and not shake to avoid bubbles in the polish.), and I rolled with way too much force that it flew out of my hand; hit the corner of a desk then onto the edge of a wheel of my desk chair shattering the bottle open and splattering all over a wall, carpet, desk, and chair.  It looked like a scene from CSI!  That just made me stop polish altogether and purge my stash.

Now, I just have a tiny stash and play with polish whenever I feel like it which seems to be rarely but we will see after this post.

This is Chanel Madness and when I looked on the website it was no longer listed.  I am not surprised since I bought this when Chanel Black Satin just came out. I bought it and left it in a cool, dark, dry place.  I never even opened it until NOW!!!

Chanel nail polishes from the time I remember way back in my teen years always had nice nail polishes that lasted years and years and the colors were always very sophisticated and fashionable.  This one called Madness is the same.  It has an air of quality and chi chi-ness like Coco Chanel herself.  The color is more of a wine plummy brown with a bit of warmth.  It isn't as dark and blackened as Vamp; a tamer version that can be worn all year round and many skintones.  Although, I would prefer to wear this on my toes, it doesn't look bad on my hands.

Okay, so that was my first nail polish post.  Nothing to get excited about but hey it was something different for me.
