Physicians Formula - Glam Collection Gel CreamLiners

When I saw NouveauCheap blurb about these on her blog, I went searching for them and found nothing until it came close to the new year.  Typical that Ulta would display these just after Xmas and before the New Year knowing people want shimmer and glam for the New Year Eve parties.  I think Ulta was doing a special pricing on these because I noticed a discount when I paid for this.

I liked the original set that Physicians Formula came out with and had to try these.  They come in the usual sets for four different eye colors: Brown, Hazel, Blue, and Green.  Each set has their natural, colorful, and dramatic color.  Brown eyes has a yellow gold, bronze, and black with bronze glitter.  Hazel eyes has a brassy gold, lavender, and black with gold glitter.  Blue eyes has a silver, cobalt blue, and black with silver glitter.  Green eyes has silver lavender, silver green, and black with pewter.

The colors are all glammed up metallic which isn't as outrageous as it sounds but it does mute the pigment of that color because it plays on the metallic part more.  This in turn makes the formula more sheer and creamier.  Even the black ones are creamier than the regular sets, giving them the possibility of smearing and fading on oily lids.  For dry lids these might be easier to handle due to its smooth texture but the lasting power can vary and topping with powder shadow can help it last throughout the day.

Since they are creamier, they make better cream eyeshadows than liners.  Use a brush to do this which is easier since the container is tiny.  Pat it on for more color and opacity instead of just smearing it on which will result in a sheer and uneven application.  Top it off with eyeshadow powder for an even and long lasting finish.

Do I like these?  I like the colors, they are pretty!  The formula is creamy but lasting power is what gets to me.  The original ones do a better job for me.
