Bite Beauty Lip Products

Bite Beauty has bitten me with lipstick love.  I bought these two sets from Sephora, the Luminous Creme Lipstick Trio ($36USD) and the Define & Refine Lip Set ($36USD).  Both of these sets are excellent introductions to the lip products because individually the items retail for $24 each with the exception of the Lip Shine which retails for $20.

To avoid mixup in color families, the caps of the lipsticks identify the color range; reds-sharp angle, neutrals-natural slant, pinks-curved, and berries-point.  (Great idea, just don't put the wrong cap on after use.)  Each set comes boxed together AND individually.  If you want to split the products as gifts, you can.  I, being selfish, refused to share and kept all the products for myself.

Luminous Creme Lipstick Trio

This set includes the following colors:  Bouquet-pink rose, Rhone-berry red, and Pepper-dusty rose mauve (this one is my-lips-but-better color).

These lipsticks are amazing.  They are saturated with color yet moisturizing and apply smoothly without feeling thick.  They don't have that heavy waxy texture nor do they have that slippery silicone one.  I have had no problems with it bleeding but to ensure they stay, a lip pencil can be used.  In the following I have not used any, only the products alone.  There is a slight fruity scent which I can't put my finger on but it is so slight that I forget there is one.

Define & Refine Lip Set

This one includes the following products in the following colors:  Lip Shine in Prosecco-sheer milky nude; Luminous Creme Lipstick in rose-rose with an undertone of a soft warm coral; and a High Pigment Matte Pencil in Pomegranate-a saturated true red.

The Lip Shine is barely visible when on the lips so I applied it on top of a soft peach tint.  It actually has no color and only works as a vinyl shine gloss although it is hard to see.  The texture is slightly sticky and will not stray however, I recommend a moderate coat on the lips and not a thick one or it will look kinda goopy.  There is a scent which reminds me of Juicy Fruit Gum.

The lipstick is like the one reviewed above only in a softer everyday color.

The High Pigment Matte Pencil is….WOW!!! First of all, this pencil doesn't need to be sharpened, it is one of those retractable type that is shaped like a pencil.  I hated lipstick pencils that you had to sharpen only to have the tip break off and not to mention the mess on the pencil sharpener.  No need to worry with this one.  Texture is amazing, nothing dry or heavy.  It is a moisturizing lipstick that packs a punch when it comes to color, especially this gorgeous red!  If you wanted a precision application with a red lipstick but found the usual method a pain, this pencil will line and fill in the lips with ease.  And, just because it says matte, it really isn't.  I would say that it lacks some of the shine of the regular lipstick but it still has the soft luster avoiding that flat matte and dry look to the lips.  Awesome pencil and awesome color!

I am not disappointed with these purchases.  I am actually very thrilled to have bought them.  And, probably will end up with buying more!
