Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go: My Neon Nail Polishes

*Post originally written by Olivia J on The Unknown Beauty Blog. If you see this post elsewhere, it has been stolen!**

Applying these nail polishes brought me back to the big loose t-shirts, large shoulder pads, leggings, slouchy socks, crimped hair, high pony tail, and WHAM! singing Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go!  Yeah, the 80's.  Oh what fashionable mistakes were made back then!

The four I have are from China Glaze Purple Panic-fuchsia purple with glimmering hints of blue (hard to see); Nina Ultra Pro in Blue Blaze-neon blue, Orange Flame-"burn my retinas" orange, and Lime Light-neon key lime.  (<---I am appalled that I have to associate this color with such a great Rush tune!)

From the second I applied these, I knew I wouldn't like them.  I just didn't like the texture.  They don't go on smoothly even with a good base coat.  The first coating skips so you need a second to smooth it out which will need a third to even everything out.  I like two smooth coats of color, three if I want opacity but not for texture.   The finish is semi-matte which is, eh okay.  Colorwise, the China Glaze Purple Panic is the one I like the most.  The rest just gag me with a spoon!
