Lashem Beauty Products

*Post originally written by Olivia J on The Unknown Beauty Blog. If you see this post elsewhere, it has been stolen.*

A few weeks back, I was contacted by Lashem to try some of their products.  At the same time my mom was complaining about how the skin around her eye area began to felt dry due to the weather change.  Perfect timing! I thought.  I received the products and instead of me testing out the products, I thought a point of view from a mature and wiser woman would be better for these eye products.  This is what she thinks of the products.

3 in 1 Eye Bright ($39.99USD)-First, this product is used at night to keep the eye area moisturized during the sleep hours which can easily become dehydrated due to the environment.  Also prevents puffiness around the eyes.  My mom's thoughts: Nice gel that doesn't have the oily feel of some eye creams.  The product stays in the area where it is applied, doesn't creep into the eyes giving that crusty eye look when waking up.  Keeps moisture in during the sleeping hours, provides a barrier between the skin and the outside dry air.  Non-irritating and comfortable on the skin.  Definitely worth a try!

3 in 1 Eye Bright

Picture Perfect Anti-Wrinkle Cream ($38USD)-This is used in the morning to refresh, lift, and tighten around the eyes.  The products is like creamy gel that is non-greasy in texture.  The product should be lightly tapped onto the eyes and allowed to dry.  My mom's thoughts: Even though this is housed in the same container as the 3 in 1; it tends to squirt out too much.  What is not needed on the eyes is used around the lips.  The products dries but the makeup that is applied on top doesn't sit right, the product tends to pill up.  Sorry, to say this one is the least favorite product.

Measurable Difference Lash Gel ($69.99)-This is a gel like serum that is applied on the lashline at night.

It is a lash conditioner that doesn't contain prostaglandin, this is paraben free, cruelty free, fragrance free, and 97% natural.

My mom's thoughts:  What this does is actually condition the base of my lashes, allowing them to grow in a straighter direction.  My lashes tend to curl in a direction sometimes that makes it hard to apply mascara.  They feel less dry and brittle and make mascara more comfortable to wear.  None of the dry-eye feeling or crunchy lash feeling of some conditioners.  This one feels like my lashes only thicker and stronger.

After one week of use

Here is a pic of my mom's lashes.  The top is right before she started a week ago.  Remember, this is only a week and the product is a 90 day supply.  What she has noticed in the first week is the growth at the roots is stronger making the lashes stick out straighter.  As for growth, I can't say nor can my mother but this is just a week and there will be more follow up pictures.  Is this a must-have? Only time will tell in the next few weeks.

Double Trouble Mascara ($19.99USD)-This is a dual ended mascara that houses two different style brushes.  The spiky end is a volumizing formula while the cone shaped brush is the lengthening side.  I honestly didn't find a difference in the formula when I tested it and my mother felt the same. However her thoughts:  This is a mascara that feels light on the lashes, doesn't weigh them down making them feel like there is a heavy layer of color.  Very smooth and doesn't clump.  Makes the lashes look like eyelashes and not something fake.  A very likeable mascara and worth the price!

L to R: Lengthening brush, Volumizing brush

There you have a short and honest review of the products.  I would like to thank my mom for being a volunteer for these products although it didn't take much arm twisting since she is a beauty fiend herself.  All that is written has been interpreted via me since English is her second language.  There will be more pictures of the progression of the Measurable Difference Lash Gel.  From what I have seen, conditioning lashes can improve the state of them.  Like the hair on your head, taking care via conditoning can promote healthy growth. What may be hard is to choose the right conditioner.  If you haven't found the product or products yet, Lashem is definitely a line to try.  There are no parabens, cruelty free, fragrance free, and no prescription needed.
