Prime Time ($20USD)-I have a love/hate relationship with eyeshadow primers/bases because due to the fact that I am no spring chicken, many can make the lid look all wrinkled crinkled or they just feel uncomfortable and dry. Then, add to that a layer of eyeshadow and the eye area begins to feel thick and heavy, I constantly begin to blink and people think I am sending some morse code message!
This one by Manna Cosmetics has none of those characteristics because it is made to work with skin of any age. Not only is it an eyeshadow primer/base/shadow highlighter, it works on the lips also. The product feels like a cream but not a greasy oily one and dries to a very fine layer of smoothness. On the eyes it will highlight the area diffusing the fine lines and wrinkles. A small amount is needed to work. If the shadows crease, too much has been applied. Prime Time moves with the lid, never feeling dry or tight. And, it never feels like a thick layer.
Not only is this a product for the eyes, it works as a lip primer. Again, only the thinnest layer is needed. I also used it as a lip highlighter which I show how to do here.
I honestly didn't expect a difference from the application but after seeing the picture I realized this is needed especially when lipgloss is applied on top of another lip product. You can see in the picture without Prime Time applied, the lipgloss moves the lipstick to the edges. Application of this as a lip base allows an even and smooth surface for the lipstick and lipgloss while creating a "fence" for them to prevent bleeding. Pretty nice!
Lash Primer ($16USD)-Eyelash primers are other products that I have tried but never actually fell in love with because they just didn't feel or work right for me. Some I have tried felt heavy and left my lashes feeling stiff and weighed down. Others just didn't allow the mascara to apply evenly. With this Lash Primer, the product coats each lash evenly without any heaviness or stiffness. Mascara easily applies on top evenly, leaving behind the look of thickened lashes. Look at the pictures!
Camera Ready($42USD)-You know how some primers feel thick out of the container so you try to apply a thin layer on your face by spreading it all over only to find it uncomfortable when foundation is applied? This one isn't one of those primers. It is a primer for people who may not be fully awake in the morning or have only one eye open. Just a small amount will spread to a very thin but effective layer. Feels slick at first but dries to a very thin and undetectable finish. This one primes for any type of foundation-mineral to cream and for every skin type from dry skin, mature skin, and even oily skin. Worth a try if you are still searching.
Sheer Glo ($24USD)-This is a highlighter than can be used anywhere on the face and body. The color contains both warm and cool tones and isn't too light or too dark so it works on every skin tone. The shimmer can be intense or as subtle as needed as seen in the pictures. I have used this as an eyeshadow for that soft shimmer effect and it works wonderfully. Nothing is greasy, sticky, or thick about this product. Feels very comfortable on the skin.
What do I think of Manna Cosmetics? This line deserves the attention that high end lines receive because it actually feels comfortable and looks good on mature skin, yet it will look good on young skin too! The products are easy to work with, there isn't much of a learning curve except maybe the amount used, less is more. If you want to look great without sacrificing time, then Manna Cosmetics definitely has something for you.
