Stila Cosmetics - Ladies Who Lunch Kit

The Stila Ladies Who Lunch Kit ($32USD) is an Ulta exclusive and may I say an excellent bargain!  I really wasn't about to buy any more eyeshadow because I have enough to last me until the next Millennium.  Instead, was on a quest to find an eyeliner (yes, again) and I found one in Stila.

Rock Candy is the eyeliner that I wanted and it cost $22 on its own.  For $10 more I could get 3 FULL SIZE Stila eyeshadows retailing alone at $18, a travel size eyeshadow brush, travel size mascara, and the eyeliner mentioned in full size.  This was a bargain that I couldn't pass up!

I haven't bought Stila in ages and hate to say that I really lost touch with this line, but this kit has reacquainted me.  The three Stila eyeshadows included in this kit are Kitten-frosty warm beige; Puppy-a cool beige taupe; and Twig-a satin russet brown.  All are full sizes in magnetized compacts and easily pop out to transfer into palettes.

The pigment I admit is not as saturated as pro lines but as a consumer line and me being a consumer, these shadows aren't bad.  Yes, they are neutral and all the colors are wearable for most skin tones.  Kitten may be the only one with a really loose powdery texture and has a frosty finish but other than that, these three colors give the eyes a polished look.

Rock Candy Sparkle Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner ($22USD) is one that should be owned by all.  You think it is just another brown liner with glitter but it isn't.  The color can be put in a brown category but I find it more in the category of jewel/metallic tones.  This one may look brown but the metallic finish leans it towards a taupe and the glitter bits of pink and gold gives the complete color a look of a shiny copper penny.  The color isn't too harsh around the eyes, never too dark and never too light; defines them enough to make them look wide awake.

The brush included in this kit is the #7 Precision Crease Brush in short handle form.  The original retails for $20.  This one is a useable brush, nothing really bad and it will do its job.

The only item that is really a trial size is the Forever Your Curl Mascara. (Love the name!)

If you have an Ulta near you and want a kit with some full size products that are not in a premade palette, well this is your chance.  At $32 this is a bargain and a useful one if you like neutrals!!
