Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré is the cream that is loved by many makeup artists because of its multi-tasking abilities. Thus, saving space in their kits and saving time when it comes to preparation. After all, it is a cream that is a primer, moisturizer, mask, makeup remover. But how does this cream work on a regular consumer level?
I bought Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré from the Ricky's NYC website (2.6 oz for $25USD). It is also sold at various other stores online but opted for Ricky's since I had to get other stuff (and there was a coupon code).
The cream is a basic moisturizing lotion; thicker than the average lotion but not as creamy as the average cream. There is a scent to this product. If you prefer no scent, then skip this product altogether. Shea butter and wax are two of the ingredients in this product which makes it sound greasy but it isn't. It is actually a non-greasy lotion which applies a smooth layer of moisture, this in turn acts as a primer for makeup. There is no feeling of slickness nor is there an oily layer of moisture. The product just feels dewy on the skin. In a pinch, yes, this will work as a makeup remover, moisturizing mask, and sheers out foundation.
Like I said in a pinch, for a pro this product is multi-tasking and allows a smooth canvas for the next step which is flawless application. This takes more technique and skill than the number of prepping products used. The consumer, on the other hand, uses products to hopefully achieve the flawless application but in a faster time frame. I don't think you want to spend just 20 minutes on applying and buffing out your foundation.
For the consumer, Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré is a great moisturizer. Depending on your skin, it will act as a primer allowing you to skip a step if you do use primer. This is cream works well on most skin types. I would say really oily skin might find this a bit too moisturizing. Dry and/or mature skin types will like this product.
I like this product because it keeps my skin moisturized and agrees with my skin. Does it work better than any of the other moisturizers I have used? Not really but then again I don't expect miracles from my skin care creams. It does what it does for me at a decent price. If you are looking for a moisturizer that will keep moisture in the skin without feeling greasy or heavy, check this one out. And, if you need primer, makeup remover, mask, shave cream, etc.; in a pinch this product can multi-task.
