Pop Beauty Nail Glam

*Post originally written by Olivia J on The Unknown Beauty Blog.*

Pop Beauty is a line that captures my attention once in awhile like their Pop Paint Duet which I reviewed here.  I also notice the nail polish but never really get around to trying them because my mind wanders off to other stuff.  Finally by fate (thanks Brelki), I tried my first polish.

This is one color that I had mixed feelings about. I like green polish and it is usually the dark deep kind. The grassy green which this one is aptly named Grass is a color I would skip. However, the nail glam ($10USD) is interesting. In the bottle it looks like a candy grass green. Upon application the color is more of a radiation green. If a lawn were ever nuked, this is the color the grass would end up to be. The semi-matte finish makes this polish more wearable than a regular cream finish because the loudness of the color is what is played up more rather than a shine finish.

In the following pictures, the finish looks close to a minty green but in actuality it leans towards a fluorescent cool toned green. The lights of the sun, flash, and daylight bulb brings out more of the alien like glow of the color. I added the silver sprinkles to represent the radioactive raindrops (thanks to ManGlaze Hot Mess).

Nice, right?
