A Look for Asian Monolids with Anastasia Want You to Want Me

*Post originally written by Olivia J on The Unknown Beauty Blog. If you see this post elsewhere, it has been stolen.*

In the last post, I did a bunch of EOTD (eye of the day) looks from the Anastasia Want You to Want Me ($34USD) palette.  In this post I show a particular one on an eye and face chart for Asian monolids.  Now, if you don't know what a monolid is, it is the style or the shape of the Asian eye with no crease.  Actually, there is a crease located just above the lashline making the entire lid fold over and making the lashline hidden.  Like I always say, you see it hidden but everyone else sees you blink so an eyeliner is really important.

Anyway, I did a step-by-step eye and face chart for Asian monolids.  The particular look I copied adapted is from the look my mum wore in the last post.

Hope this chart gives some ideas for those of you who have monolids.  I know you think you can't wear shadow the way it is usually shown.  But I think Asian eyes have more options because there is really no set area of what color goes where.  All you have to do is adapt and/or think outside the usual eye makeup box.

1-The eyes.  2-Apply Platform Wedge from lashline to brows.  3-Apply Ziggy from lashline and a bit over the "the lid" or where it folds over to the main eyelid area.  4-Apply Graphic T's on the top outer third of the eye.  This will create some depth.

5-Do the same on the bottom.  Just apply on the outer third of the eye.  6-Apply Jellies in the inner corner of the eyes top to bottom.  7-Take Iron On and apply to the outer forth of the eyes. Smudge, allowing it to peek out just a bit.  8-Apply Iron On (wet) and smudge it close to the lashline.

9-Next take the lid color Ziggy and apply a somewhat thick smudgy line on the bottom lashline.  10-Take Iron On and line (dry) bottom in a thinner line.  11-Apply Jet black liquid eyeliner very close to the lashline or even tightline with it to emphasize the lashline.  12-Apply mascara or false lashes.

Complete the look with a soft glowy pink blush and Hydrafull Gloss in Lola.

And here is the complete look on Asian eyes with a crease and Caucasoid eyes.

Hope this helped or gave you some ideas.
