Bring Some Shimmer into Your Holidays - Manna Kadar Sheer Glow

*Post originally written by Olivia J on The Unknown Beauty Blog. If you see this post elsewhere, it has been stolen.*

Winter is the time when the luster in the skin doesn't lust anymore.  Skin looks ghostly, yet you don't want to look darkly tan like a piece of beef jerky.  All you really need to do is add some glow.  Don't know what to use?  Here is a suggestion, try Manna Kadar Sheer Glow in Movie Star ($29USD).

Sheer Glow is one of the signature products for the Manna Kadar beauty line.  You can buy it alone or with the Camera Ready primer for $50 ($71 value).  Or you can buy the entire Signature Collection which includes not only the Camera Ready primer and Sheer Glow; it also includes Prime Time, Transfix, HD Powder, and Lash Primer for $99 with free shipping.  If bought separately, the total would come to $169.  These are all the staples or the basic foundations to prep the face before color.

Back to Sheer Glow, this is a shimmery lotion that is light in texture, no thick silicone feel, with a soft champagne shimmer.

Its formula makes it a very versatile product.  You can use under foundation or over foundation.  It can be applied to highlight the browbone,  the cheekbones, the shoulders, the chest, the legs; wherever you want a soft shimmer.  But wait!  That isn't all! (I sound like an infomercial.)  You can also mix it with various products to product more shimmery results.

First, I mixed it with moisturizer.  This results in a sheer luminizing glowing lotion.  Perfect if you are a shimmer-phobe or just want a soft glow on your days off.

Mixed with foundation, it gives a dewy finish to some of the flat or matte foundations.

But don't leave the shimmer just on the skin, the hair needs it too!  I mixed Sheer Glow with some hair gel and it gave bits of shimmer to my hair.  This adds a nice touch to the hair and really keeps it from looking dull and keeps the static away.

And last but not least, I added a bit to what would be a very flat and matte red lip and turned it into a glowingly soft holiday lip.

There you have it, a versatile glow lotion by Manna Kadar.  If you were hesitant in purchasing a shimmer lotion because of texture, lack of versatility, or just plain unsure what brand actually added shimmer without huge chunks of glitter.  Sheer Glow is the one to get!
