You betcha!  I first mentioned Manna Cosmetics here, a newborn line of cosmetics that really needs your attention.  The products I have tested so far are just as good or even better than the high end lines that spend millions of $$$ in publicity.  Take a look at some of the products that deserve your love and attention.

When I was a teen, cable tv was just happening; mousse for the hair was the new hair product; day-glo clothing was in; and there was no internet.  I had a lot of leisure time even though I felt like I had too much homework especially calculus!  In between the 2nd and 3rd derivatives and the cosine and tangents, I painted my nails while listening to music blasting from my stereo.  I guess I was multi-tasking back then.  I painted dots, stripes, and little flowers on my nails and went to school the next day feeling special because people were in awe of my nail art.  Yeah, that was then and.....

After making a snowman with two of my blushes, I figured I should replace them with a better brand.  On my recent cosmetic expedition to ULTA, I noticed the Sue Devitt line had been pillaged.  No wonder, it was 40% off.  I wished I had paid more attention to this line because the two blushes I had bought definitely won me over.

Ever feel like Goldilocks of makeup primers? Trying all the different brands but finding one is just too slimy, the other is just too thick, and another just feels like a layer of goo on the skin.  I know that the main reason why I stop using primers is the comfort factor.  Even though I have stated the importance of primer especially on mature skin, I do find myself skipping this step because it just feels awful by the end of the day.  I have sacrificed the smoothness of my makeup application over my skin's comfort many times only to find myself frustrated with the uneven outcome.  If only there were a primer that felt like nothing on the skin while smoothing it out enough for easy makeup application.

I haven't posted a nail polish post in awhile because my hands are just wintery dry and my nails are refusing to look decent.  I finally got them to a state where they can handle a coating of color, but they aren't the best at the moment so excuse any little dry skin bits you see.

After yesterday's post, I felt like scrubbing this blog clean or somehow neutralizing the effects of brush licking!  Like I said, I wasn't ousting the person because who knows, someday that YouTuber could become a SFX artist (once the rules of hygiene are instilled in that pigment-ingested brain) and end up on a show like SyFy's Face Off!

I can't say I am thrilled when a celebrity has their name stamped on a cosmetic line, after all am I suppose to believe they really use the stuff?  Do they actually apply the stuff on themselves without the help of a makeup artist?  I know I shouldn't sound negative, just being cynical and slightly crass.  I do credit to Salma for keeping her line in a drugstore--CVS.  Her line becomes easily accessible to many but how does it stand up to other cosmetics?

Just when I thought I could be happy with all the makeup I had, here comes a new line called Manna Cosmetics created by Manna Kadar a beauty industry expert for the past 15 years.  She created a line of simplicity, efficiency, elegance, and freshness.  If any of these descriptions is what you want in makeup, then her cosmetics probably has something for you.

Everyone is doing their list of top products for 2011.  I usually don't do one because I forget what I have bought!  However, since I checked my posts for 2011, I did notice a few that stand out for me.  Here they are.

This isn't shitty to me but let's just say people have commented that I look like shit when I wear this product.  At first I thought I would just take it in stride and let them say what they wanted to say but when your own mother says, "You are closer to death's door than before.  Why taunt it?"  (Snarky has been passed down from generation to generation. :p )

I do have a motto (I didn't before this post but figured it would be nice to have a catchy one) about eyeshadow application.  Define, divide, and conquer!  This came about when I was teaching dear ol' mum about eye anatomy.  Okay, it wasn't really a deep medical topic, more like a shallow moment on makeup.  No matter, it resulted in an epiphany moment for her--simple eyeshadow application.

I know I have reviewed many foundations from pro lines to less than pro lines. I do have a drugstore foundation that I haven't reviewed yet.  I really don't need this many foundations because personally I can't stand how it feels on my skin. (Geez, what a confession!)

Being a B-List beauty blogger means you are basically left to fend for your own products as you try to make an impact within the beauty world.  This is hard especially since there is a "budget".  You don't want to spend too much and make a great hyped-up review only to be unnoticed missed by the company when you tweet it.  That is wasted dollars on your part, making you feel like a total jackass with buyer's remorse.  You want to find a beauty product cheap enough to leave some pocket money for the next haul, yet useful enough to contribute to the beauty world.  It also helps if it turns into a multi-tasking product.  I think I found it with this product!

I always admire bloggers who can do those Wordless Wednesday posts.  Those posts make me feel so unworthy because I could never come up with meaningful photos of people, places, or things.  I am not cultured like yogurt, therefore I have no knack for that type of photography.  Yes, tis pretty sad!  Instead, though, I decided to come up with a post that was more my type for the crass, cynical, and snarky me.  I call it Shit List Saturday.

I am pasty all year round, summer I wear bronzer and winter I wear highlighter to light up my face because without it I am one dim bulb!  I believe through osmosis these highlighters work to open up my brain, giving it light allowing me to absorb more information.  Or in truth I am just one dim bulb in the winter due to the lack of warmth or the escape of it from my head, shrinking and freezing my brain cells.  With this lack of oxygen, I think my complexion looks dull and I start trying all these highlighters from liquids-Blanc de Chanel to these two powders.  Then after I try these, a part of my brain opens up and a memory of the song "You Light Up My Life" rings through it.

Just like a Hollywood marriage that is annulled, with this post I am nullifying what was to be a good long hiatus  I expected to stay away from this blog a bit longer until about next year!  Okay, I am kidding until Fringe started up again which is on the 13th of January.  (Damn, long hiatus for a show that needs continuity for the storyline to be remembered!)  Maybe, my posts will be fewer since I have more requests on my Into the Palette blog.  Did you see the new post in that one?
