A Fringe-ful Moment-Olivia Dunham

In about a month the last season of Fringe will start its series finale.  Although I thought it to be a great sci-fi show, network ratings have shown it to be otherwise and it struggled practically every season for renewal.  But, thanks to fans (like me) the show has kept going with great stories and characters.  Oh how I will miss this show!

Kissable Lips with Tarte LipSurgence

With the oncoming season of fall and shortening of the days, my makeup senses begin to awaken and I yearn for something I don't have.  This time it turns out to be Tarte LipSurgence.

Stila Yumberry Crush Lip and Cheek Stain

I had been wanting to try a lip stain for awhile and wondered which brand would be good.  I admit I am not familiar with many because I have avoided them due to their inability to be blended seamlessly on both my lips and cheeks.  I looked up brands that had lip stains and noticed several have cropped up since my last try.  So many choices and I couldn't make up my mind.  I just left it as is.

Totally Gobsmacked! Found Another Drugstore Concealer that I Like

I don't know why I buy so many concealers.  Maybe, because they are beige and nude in color, I hope they will miraculously transform me and give me that perfectly awakened natural face.  Most of my concealer buys are from pro or cosmetic counter brands. Drugstore brands are a hit or miss and on rare occasion it can be a hit.  When I saw the Physicians Formula brand, I was intrigued since it was packaged similarly to a high end brand.

The Ifs, Ands, and Butts! Vigoss Jeans and 7 For All Mankind

I admit I don't pay much attention to the names of jeans lately.  There are way too many  different brands.  Times were simpler when all I did was go down to a local five & dime store and bought a pair of Levi's 501 Shrink-to-Fit jeans for about $10.  If they were on sale, I could get two pairs for that price.  Nowadays, I have to pay way more and I have to spend the entire day trying to find A PAIR that fits.  Once I find a pair, sometimes the same size will not work on a different style because of the cut.  Jeans math is not my forté!  But when I do find jeans that fit, I feel triumphant yet wonder, do they look right?

Pop Beauty Nail Glam

Pop Beauty is a line that captures my attention once in awhile like their Pop Paint Duet which I reviewed here.  I also notice the nail polish but never really get around to trying them because my mind wanders off to other stuff.  Finally by fate (thanks Brelki), I tried my first polish.

A New Line to Check Out-Addixt'n Cosmetics

Born just this year, Addixt'n Cosmetics caters to every makeup aficionado of every skin tone and age.  The products are affordably priced ranging from about $7.99USD to $15.99USD.  Recently, there was a twitter giveaway to introduce this line.  I chose two products, a gel liner and a lipstick.  If these two are like any of the other products, I think this line will have a cult following.

A Review of eMperfumes

Recently, I was contacted by eMperfumes to review their fragrances: eMpassioned, eMpulsive, eMpowered, and eMmoral.  Each of these scents come in eau de toilette form and costs $50USD for 50ml.  These fragrances were created by women who wanted to redefine the scent of the modern woman.  With each sale contributing to the annual profit, 5% goes towards women's charities. The scents are made with essential oils, water, and perfumer's alcohol; there are no added chemicals.

Essie Stroke of Brilliance

Lately, I have been doing my nails because I just find it easier to do than putting on makeup in the summer heat.  I admit to not having a big collection like most nail enthusiast but I do have a dresser drawer full that would catch instantly on fire if I ever dropped a match in there accidentally.

Just a Heads Up-Mattese Elite Clearance at Ricky's NYC

Ricky's NYC is getting rid of their Mattese Elite line for good.  I am sad to see it go because it was a great line and somewhat underrated.  Sad but good because this means clearing out the items and markdowns.

Mattese Elite Bullet Sponges-Are They Spongeworthy?

Looks to me that I am on a sponge kick. Or, I am searching for more worthiness in the sponge field.  After all thanks to technology, sponges for cosmetics come in many shapes and sizes to meet the needs of every part of the face like the eyes.  So, when Ricky's NYC had a sale on their bags of Bullet Sponges ($3USD), I had to buy them.

A Failed Manicure-My Failed Attempt at Dotting

I don't know what it is with me but I can't do nail art.  As much as I see all those cool pictures on many blogs and try my hand at some of the techniques, my brain just won't concentrate on my bottles of polish.

Soho Beauty Sponge-Is it Spongeworthy?

My recent excursion to Walgreens made me question my spongeworthiness.  After all, I am not one to buy sponges at a drugstore since they aren't satisfying in their firmness.  (There may be a joke there but I can't think of one at the moment.)  However, when I saw this neon pink sponge glowing on the display, I decided to try one.

Pinterest Pin of the Moment

I don't usually post a topic on my Pinterest pins but there is one pin that I just have to share.  I am not a big sports person but when the Olympics come around I catch what I can.  Although, I have to say that the NBC coverage really sucks here in the U.S. which leaves me with an attention span of a squirrel thanks to the many commercials and editing of events.  I remember when ABC covered the event with Jim McKay and those days made the Olympics a thrill for me to watch.  Remember Mark Spitz and his gold medals? That was a thrilling moment and a memory in my life.  Today, the memory that stays in my mind is this guy....

Essie Armed and Ready

When I saw Essie Armed and Ready on several blogs including Ommorphia Beauty Bar, I had to get it.  I love dark colored polish and I love that this one looks as though it has a little secret.

Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré

Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré is the cream that is loved by many makeup artists because of its multi-tasking abilities.  Thus, saving space in their kits and saving time when it comes to preparation.  After all, it is a cream that is a primer, moisturizer, mask, makeup remover.  But how does this cream work on a regular consumer level?
