I want to wish all of you a Merry Christmas for those who celebrate and a Happy Kwanzaa for those who celebrate that. Or if you are like George Constanza, Happy Festivus! Whatever you celebrate, it will be closer to 2014!
I am going on a well-deserved blog break. At least, I hope I can call it well-deserved. I hope I have entertained and informed you, my cult followers this 2013 even if it meant pulling things out of my ass! Believe me, sometimes I have come up with posts which I was sure would get some crickets chirping only to find them more popular than posts I got really excited about. Strange, how this blog works!
I would like to thank all of you for sticking with me and reading this blog, I really appreciate it from the bottom to the very aorta of my heart! I do have one wish or goal I would like to reach this year.
I usually don't set goals for this blog because it really has no goals to set. However, when I opened up and flashed you my, somewhat embarrassing (I think I lost some attention from some lurking beauty brands), statistics. I thought, "why not reach for the number 40,000?"
As I showed you in this post here, my monthly statistics for the TUBB (The Unknown Beauty Blog) was a little over 26,000 this month. With the month ending (and the year), I would like to reach 40,000 hits. In actuality, if I didn't have two blogs and left my tutorials (Into the Palette) and my reviews on this blog, I would have hit 40,000 as you can see from the numbers above.
But I didn't and I just would like to see the 40,000 hits even if it is for just one month or one time out of my blogging life. You could say it is on my nerdy bucket list! So, like always this blog really depends on you my cult followers. Your word of mouth is what keeps this blog going. I have no big major social outlet for this blog like others who hit this number in their first few months of blogging. I don't have Facebook, and I don't YouTube. I just tweet, pin, and write posts in the hopes that someone will read them. If you are wondering if my views on the blog count, they don't. I have a blocking cookie to eliminate my hits on the blog.
As for next year, I hope to continue although I have to say I can't promise I will have interesting posts. I will have my Top Ten for 2013 though! If you don't know about this, then check out what I picked for the previous years here. I can tell you 2013 will be tough to narrow down to just ten products!
I thank you over and over for reading this blog and my other blog Into the Palette. I will see you in 2014! Help me reach 40,000! *Blows you kisses*
