Wings and Lashes - What Reviva Liquid Mascara Can Do

Mascara is a cosmetic item which I have been having trouble with ever since the ingredient, dimethicone, appeared into the cosmetic realm.  To this day, I have never had more problems with finding a comfortable mascara until now.  Enter Reviva Labs Liquid Mascara.

The problem I find today is mascara clumps and hardens as bad as brown sugar on my lashes and that is just from the first use.  Mascara formulas have changed and my lashes aren’t happy. I would rather use a formula similar to the ones made back in the 1980’s which was a lot better for Asian type lashes. (Asians have slick eyelashes or cuticles which makes it hard for mascara to grab them.)

Reviva Labs Liquid Mascara ($8)comes close to what I remember mascara had been.  One thing different, now with technology the formula doesn’t smudge!  Although, the mascara isn’t exactly a thickening or really a lengthening mascara, it suits my old habit of applying in layers.

The formula is not a wet formula but a smooth and glossy formula.  I would say the best way to thicken the layers in the application process is the old fashioned way of applying face powder on the lashes in between new coatings.  (I was so used to that method!) It can be done with this formula whereas with the major brands, the formula will dry out and clump because of all the unnecessary fillers and over-hyped binders.

On my mature lashes which have thinned out with age, the formula provides a natural looking finish with absolutely no clumps! This, alone, makes me extremely happy!
But why stop there?  A formula like this has the perfect consistency to double as a killer eyeliner.  Just use an eyeliner brush and apply like you would any liquid eyeliner.  That is how I got my winged look!

The formula feels comfortable on my lashes and lash line.  Never feels like a dry, lid pulling-silicone type of texture.  It just feels like what make up used to feel like way back but with better technology and staying power!  Removal is easy, just use your favorite eye makeup remover or try the Reviva Labs Eye Makeup Remover Gel ($5)

Although, you may find this mascara doesn’t thicken and lengthen as much as other brands; it does stay clump-free for future applications.  And, let’s not forget the killer liquid eyeliner properties it possesses!  With this mascara and the eye makeup remover gel, the total price probably equals less than one drugstore mascara and they feel more comforting to the eyes!

Have you tried to use your mascara as an eyeliner? Have you tried Reviva Labs mascara? What do you think of its dual personality?
