When I had the chance to try Mad Hippie Antioxidant Facial Oil with hemp seed extract, all I wanted to do was run into a field wearing my maxi dress with a headband of flowers on top of my head and swinging my un-braided hair belting out the songs from The Age of Aquarius album. (Did I give you an earworm?)

What a time the 70's were and much, much, different than now.  How I wish some good moments could be brought into the new century for those were relaxed times.  However, there is a great line of skin care products influenced by the "natural" movement of that time but without the legal ramifications.  Enter Mad Hippie Advanced Skin Care.

The Mad Hippie

The product I received to try is an actual facial oil: Mad Hippie Antioxidant Facial Oil ($24.99) made up 18 active natural antioxidants like argan oil, goji berry, pomegranate oil, hemp oil, and much more.  The label reads like an all-star list of oils!

The product is a bit runny and has a slight citrus fragrance to it.  I found it to be an a very effective moisturizer on its own, especially since the weather is turning warm.

I can tell you immediately, I fell in love with this serum not only for all of its all-star oils but for its versatility.  This is a serum that can be mixed with many cosmetics to create a your own comfortable and wearable color products.  I used this one to make a product similar to what has been popular with many of the big beauty bloggers.  I can tell you this one may be a bit better!

This is how you can make your own Mad Hippie Trippy Hippie Foundation Drops!

If you have a mineral foundation you like, just take a pinch of that and take about 2 drops of the Mad Hippie Antioxidant Facial Oil.

Mix them thoroughly with a metal makeup spatula to coat every bit of the powder with the oil.

The end result is a very concentrated form of liquid foundation with very natural and protective ingredients.  Skin comforting too, the foundation doesn't feel like a mask of makeup.

The Foundation

The top shows how much coverage the mixture offers.  The bottom shows about a medium-level coverage which does camouflage the blood veins on my wrist.

I think this Mad Hippie Antioxidant Facial Oil ($24.99) is well worth its price.  In fact, I find it reasonably priced for the ingredients it contains.  Great for all skin types, all ages, and all sexes!  Remember, since it is all oil; it has versatility.  Don't think just for the face, think the cuticles too or anywhere your skin seems dry and rough.  And, don't forget, it makes a great mixing medium for mineral makeup.

You can find this online at various websites and Whole Foods.

Love this product!
