I know this is a product review out of the beauty norm, but let's face it, the temperatures this summer have had me raising my arms.  I swear I had done something bad and gone to hell.  Yeah, a good deodorant is what I needed, but which one?

I recently looked over the natural deodorant products at my local natural food store.  I felt like the Goldilocks of armpits!  This one is too aromatic, this one is too soft, this one is too wet, and this one is just a rock!  Boy, why is finding good deodorant so hard?

Luckily, the deodorant Goddess heard me or caught a whiff of my armpits.  The answer came in the brand of Native Deodorant.  I received my test samples on one of the hottest days (114º F = HOT AS HELL) and worried they had turned soft.  None of that happened.  The sticks were in solid shape!

Native Deodorant is a fairly new brand of natural deodorant.  Made out of natural and pronounceable ingredients like baking soda, arrowroot powder, coconut oil, acidophilus (natural bacteria to fight odors). One stick retails for $12 which I admit is pretty pricey, or you can go on a two stick subscription of $20 at the frequency you want from monthly to every 6 months.  Every order has free shipping.  The stick comes in three scents of Unscented, Fresh & Clean - for men, Lavender & Rose - for women.

I have tried two of the scents, the unscented and the Lavender & Rose.  Unscented is truly unscented.  Lavender & Rose is perfect, at least for me it is.  The scent smells very soft yet it isn't a perfume or even a too aromatic scent.  It is soft enough to smell the scent but not strong enough to overpower or mix weirdly with the body odor.

Here, I over applied so you can see the texture of the product.  I would never put this much on my armpits!

The texture is actually more of a dry cream.  The stick glides on without much effort and applies a thin layer as shown below.  You can't see it!  You don't have to wait for it to dry and hope it won't stick or stain your clothing because it won't.

But you may be wondering, How Well Does it Deodorize?  I was visiting a few people in hell, none of them mentioned my body odor and, honestly, I didn't notice mine either!  The unscented and Lavender & Rose neutralize the body odor without creating it into a new odor.  You know how some deodorants actually make your own smell turn into something worse.

This deodorant works so well, that I am using it anywhere I feel the sweat.  I use it under my breasts (yes, it helps prevent the chafing from a bra!) and the bottom of my feet!

Now, for those of you who have sensitivity issues with baking soda, you will have to skip this one since it is the first ingredient.  For those of you who don't and are looking for a natural deodorant without the cloying scents of what a big brands think deodorizes the human body, then Native Deodorant is definitely one to try!

Not only is it made with natural and readable ingredients, it is Made in the USA.  You won't be getting some foreign factory mixing together your ingredients.

If you're armpits are in the pits, get them out and place and order with the exclusive coupon code: UNKNOWN10 for 10% off.  Start smelling like person and not some awful rancid container of cottage cheese!  Get your Native Deodorant!
