When I received this press sample from the product line of Anastasia Beverly Hills, I never expected to feel what I felt.  A flood of memories of my teenage years with my bedroom walls covered in posters of various musicians from Cheap Trick to Pat Benatar and all the music in between.  I remember sitting in my bedroom spending many hours playing records on my turntable all the while learning to apply makeup rather than doing my homework.

Recently, I was playing around with some of my eyeshadows and ended up with a sultry sexy eye look.  Can we say "MEOW"?  Anyway, instead of posting it on this blog, I am guest posting on another blog.

I think next time when I go to ULTA, I have to wear my reading glasses because I always misread the names of their nail polishes.  I thought this one read Chick Feet which I thought was amusing and wondered what it had to do with the color, but instead it read Chic Peek.

Rita Wilson is one of the many talented actresses/producers in Hollywood who is lucky enough to be married to a great guy, Tom Hanks.  Last night, thanks to LORAC Cosmetics and Carol Shaw, the makeup looked elegant and balanced.  Simple yet not overly done, this look can be used on anyone of any age.  Take a look at the products that were used.

Whenever I am at a Milani Cosmetics display, many of the products I want to try are always gone.  Yes, I know I am not quick enough to jump on the makeup bandwagon.  I mean after all, these legs aren't exactly as agile and muscular as before.  So, I have learned to be patient and eventually will run into the products when searching for something else.  This is what happened with the long wearing shadow pencils.

I like long wearing cream eyeshadows, and I like it more now the drugstore has good ones by Maybelline.  So when the limited edition color of Mossy Green came out, I bought it.  I was hoping it to be as good as the other colors that I had posted here.

The feeling of wanting a high end product when you don't have the money can sometimes be frustrating.  After all, buying prestige product feels satisfying for a certain amount of time until something new comes along.  Yet, the human is curious and drugstore makeup is right there and easily accessible.  I for one do like to peruse the drugstore stuff and try out lines to see how they compare to pro and high end stuff.  One line I had been curious about was Jordana Cosmetics.

You know how many times I ignored the Maybelline nail polish display at various stores, too many.  I just felt I didn't need any more polish or for that matter another Chanel Peridot dupe.  I resisted the dupe but what weakened my willpower was ice cream.  I was hungry for some gelato (particularly Talenti Caramel Cookie Crunch).  On my way to the ice cream aisle at my grocery store, I stopped by the cosmetic aisle and there staring back at me was the display of polishes.  Again, I ignored the Peridot dupe but noticed the chocolatey rich brown of Downtown Brown.  I bought it.

I just did a post on my eyelash applicators and didn't have time to do an in depth post on my favorite one.  On the Sephora sight this is called a Bulls Eye Lash Applicator.  Mine is some Asian tool called an eyelash assistant tool sold on Ebay for just a couple of bucks.

Okay, so I never posted anything on the Urban Decay Naked palettes.  I figured what had been said had been said and not really worth repeating on here.  The original Urban Decay Naked ($50USD) palette consisted of neutrals which ended up being too warm for me. I just set that palette aside.  I only used a couple of colors but nothing really worth the effort of opening the palette each morning for make up.  Then through makeup karma (special thanks to brelki), I acquired Urban Decay Naked 2 ($50USD).

For someone who rarely wears false eyelashes, I find myself with a collection of eyelash application tools.  As you see in this post I did do a review on false eyelashes.  I can't say I am a pro at applying them.  I do find it way easy to apply on someone else because I can see the lashline properly but on myself it is more of feeling my way through therefore I am never happy with the end result.  Part of my disdain probably has to do with the tools used.  Sure I can use my fingers and tweezers but after awhile the precision and the change in vision, eye shape, and skin texture just makes false lashes a hassle.  However, I am not one to give up on eyelashes completely and I figured it has to do with not finding the right tool for me.

For the clean and sophisticated clothing style of Jason Wu, Odile Gilbert for Kérastase Paris mixes a bit of vintage with modern.  Large retro waves combined with the clean weaves of a braid result in a classic yet modern look which is highly wearable for the everyday person.  The look definitely grabs attention amongst the usual and ubiquitous softly-curled long locks.  Think of your next holiday party for these hairstyles and you will surely receive many compliments.

Okay, so I have enough lip products to last me at least three lifetimes and I do like them all.  The lipsticks in the matte, cream, and shimmer textures in their wax and polymer base of pigments make my lips look and feel sexy.  Then there is the collection of glosses from opaque to sheer with that vinyl shine.  So, how about the lip stains? Yeah, I only have one so far and I wrote about it recently here.  This meant I had to add more to that lonely one, another Stila in Rasberry Crush and a Maybelline Super Stay 10 Stain Gloss.

On my recent excursion to Sephora with a limited budget in mind, I wondered what product would be the most useful and needed out of everything I saw.  I can tell you I must have looked very lost because about three sales assistants asked me if I needed help.  What I needed was a brain whose cells regenerated quickly to aid me in my decision making process.  After several swatches and rational conversations with myself, I narrowed it down to this ONE pencil-a Very Important Pencil.
