The colors are creams but they aren't the type that dry out nor are they the greasy type that smears. These actually apply like a cream and dry like a gel yet feel comfortable on the eyeline, lid, and waterline. You can draw the most precise and defining line on the lashline or use them as a cream eyeshadow or a base for powder colors.
