The Many Faces of Olivia Dunham

*Post originally written by Olivia J on The Unknown Beauty Blog. If you see this post elsewhere, it has been stolen!**

If you don't know, I am a fan of the tv show Fringe, a sci-fi show that deals with the peculiar.  Kinda like X Files but in a more relaxed atmosphere thanks to quirky Walter Bishop.  This is really one of the only shows where I have bought the entire season on Blu-Ray DVD.  Honestly, I am not a collector of tv shows on dvd but this one I anticipate each season even after watching and dvr-ing the entire season!  I am a dedicated fan, right?

Anyway, as a makeup junkie and analyzer I noticed that Olivia Dunham played by Anna Torv has many faces thanks to the subtle details of makeup.  When Olivia is Olivia her makeup is natural-softly defined eyes, subtle blush and natural lips.

When Olivia is Bolivia/Polivia/Fauxlivia, the eyeliner is a bit heavier in addition to shimmery eyeshadow (although not seen in the picture).  Like most men, Peter did not notice this.  If he had then he would know that Olivia was not the real Olivia but the one from the parallel universe.

****SEMI SPOILER ALERT*****
Don't read the next part if you really insist on staying in the dark and haven't watched the show or get a delay showing of it.

Now, Olivia channels William Bell. Yes, William Bell who was played by Leonard Nimoy.  To differentiate that character, her brows are colored in more and slightly masculine looking.

Subtle changes can be the biggest difference in makeup.  So, if you are in a rut sometimes, don't think you need to change everything.  Just try and change one little detail to see the difference.
