Monthly Special FX Subscription Box and The Pro Makeup Box

I know these monthly subscription boxes exist in another universe, but if they existed in this one, I would be one happy q-tip!  (Makeup applicator as opposed to a makeup artist -- MUA.)  My last installment of  The Unknown Beauty Box consisted of pro products for beauty.  But what happens if there is a Special FX monthly box?

I would give the monthly subscription box a name like Wormhole Reality because special effects is another dimension where only your imagination will be your limit.  Since, Halloween is near, the box would be full of bloody fun!   Let's see what is inside the box!

Check Out: Best High Definition Makeup Products

Tinsley FX Transfers Point Blank ($17) - These are easy to apply bullet wounds.  No need for glue or any special adhesive.  Just apply and add some blood for that real injured look!

Red Drum Theatrical Blood ($7) - This is premium theatrical blood.  Used on prosthetics, skin, and clothing; this fake blood is easy to work with.  Fingers, brush, or sponge works for application.  Not only is it easy to apply, easy to wash off with just water.

Skin Illustrator Glazing Spray ($22) - (Thanks Deborah for reminding me of these.) You have heard me mention the Skin Illustrator Glazing Gels many times over.  Well, there is also a spray which can be sprayed on or sponged and/or brushed on.  I prefer the latter for more control.  Excellent product which really defines the true definition of HD makeup!

Skin Illustrator Palette Hurt Box Wound ($35) - Skin Illustrator makes one of the best alcohol-activated palettes and makeup.  These colors will make any skin look like the most gory wound or contagious infection.

Those are the products for the Wormhole Reality Special FX Box.  What do you think if one existed?  Wouldn't you like to see Rick Baker curate one?

Don't go just yet though, if you feel left out from this box, I haven't forgotten The Unknown Beauty Box of pro makeup products.

You know how much I love pro brands, and I so wish there was truly a monthly subscription box of these different brands.  They are mind-blowing and mind-expanding fun!  The limit to using these products are only due to what you can't think of.  Pro brand products are versatile.

Ben Nye Burns & Blisters ($13) - As I mentioned in this post way back in 2009, this quad of colors was the gateway product into pro brands.  The colors may mimic a bad burn or sunburn but when used with an open mind, they are the most intense and beautiful blushes, lip colors, and eyeliner.  Talk about true red lips with intense depth for any skin tone, this quad has it.

Kett Fixx Hi-Light ($30) - This is a non-silicone highlighter.  Use it anywhere you have skin and it should make it glow, glow, glow.  Mix it with mixing medium to thin it out or mix it with your foundation to add glow.  Your imagination is your only limit.

Skin Illustrator Glazing Spray ($22) - Yes, I know this one was in the special fx box but why keep it there?  This is a beauty product too!  Can be applied as an eyeshadow, blush, lip product, etc.  One of the most versatile and very underrated product in the beauty world!

Skin Illustrator Palette Brow ($35) - This is really aimed at the pro makeup artists and those who truly love to experiment.  Proceed with a bit of caution on this one because it is an alcohol-activated brow palette.  It is mixed with 99% alcohol, no less or it will curdle.  The result is amazingly long-wearing (waterproof and sweat proof) eyebrows.

There you have it, a round-up of some great pro products to use in the special effects field and the beauty field.  Don't you wish there were monthly subscription boxes like these?
