I Hate to Bore You Again but Have To
I never expected to get many comments/reactions to my MakeUp Shit List post and I appreciate all of them. I know blogging is a fairly new media outlet and how the many cosmetic brands deal with this medium will be interesting to see. I would like to emphasize that I am not picking on any particular blog or YouTube Guru. I am just stating that if a cosmetic company publicizes so much about their product via the popular outlets and leaves just the regular consumer in a shit hole when it comes to service, then I think that brand needs to rethink where their business practices are. After all, it is the product that you are selling and only so much publicity will work unless you have the budget to publicize and tempt the consumer enough into buying it. And, this leaves me to question, how important is the image of the product to you? As one of my friends say, "eyeshadow is just pressed tablets of talc, what can be so different?"

NARS Cosmetics-Midsummer Dream Kit
I bought this kit for $47 minus 20% during the Sephora Friends & Family sale. I had strayed from NARS for awhile and thought it would be nice to try it again. This kit consists of a highlighting duo Hungry Heart, mini multiple Orgasm (yes, the jokes are there), and the nail polish Adelita.

Manglaze Told Me to F*ck Off & Dye
Yeah, pretty much what Manglaze puts out I like because the names really reflect how I feel at times. Or maybe, I am just cynical and just plain old. Anyway, the latest creation is Fuck Off & Dye or if you want a tamer name, it is sold under the name Blue. I went for the full gusto of a name because I have no excuses for my attitude at the moment.

Smashbox Softbox Eye Palette-You Need This Palette!
When makeup artist Jordan Liberty mentioned how fabulous the Smashbox Softbox palette ($48USD) was, I basically let his remark go in one ear and out the other. Then he mentioned there was a fabulous TAUPE liner in the kit. Well, that kinda stuck in my mind. I didn't go searching for this palette though because I already had enough neutrals to paste onto my bedroom wall! I only remembered this palette when I saw a brand-spanking new tester at Ulta.

Real Techniques Brushes (Conclusion)-Starter Kit and Shading Brush
The Starter Kit ($15.99USD) and Shading Brush ($5.99USD) pretty much covers the brushes needed to do the eye from a basic look to a smoky look. If you are wondering how well they work, I did my eyes using only these brushes in this post.

Real Techniques Brushes Part 2-The Core Collection
This is the Core Collection ($15.99USD) which consists of four brushes for sculpting and correcting the face. I find this set more useful than the Travel Essentials set because these brushes complete the face or create the foundation for the color products. Here are the brushes in this set.

Real Techniques Brushes Part One-Travel Essentials
I was at my ULTA and wondered if it had the Real Techniques brushes by Sam Chapman of Pixiwoo. Lo and behold there was slim pickings of selection but I managed to buy all the sets. The individual brushes disappeared except for the eyeshadow brush.

Yes, after falling in love with the Creamy Nudes palette, I placed another order at Apothica for more IsaDora eyeshadow stuff. I ended up buying the Matte Chocolates ($19USD), Bohemian Rhapsody ($19USD), and Creative Shades Purple Pearls ($13USD).

This week's little blog is by Lyubachan called Funky Makeup Junkie. She is an American living in the UK with a passion for, of course, makeup and kimonos! Please follow her because she also has a cute haircut and looks so ravishing in it that I am jealous. She reminds me of Louise Brooks if she were a gorgeous redhead. Love you!

Tell Me This Is a Fluke-Real Techniques Brush by Samantha Chapman
I went to Ulta and bought the Real Techniques brushes by Samantha Chapman one half of Pixiwoo. This post isn't going to be about a thorough and in depth review because at the moment I don't have the time. Expect a future post about them.

IsaDora Eyeshadow Palette-The Creamy Nudes
I had an Apothica gift card burning a hole in my pocket and decided to get something. I noticed that the IsaDora line was available. IsaDora is a Swedish cosmetic line that is sold in drugstores, I think. Please, anyone who knows, correct me if I am wrong. I know this line was available for awhile at a large drugstore chain but either mine didn't have it or I just didn't look hard enough.

Handwriting Tag
I was tagged by LavenderNinja to do a handwriting tag. I don't have the greatest handwriting according to the teachers in grade school who graded it. Why grade something that becomes part of your personality. I can't say my teachers had great penmanship themselves. Anyway, just a small gripe and memories flooding in from way way way back.
