As of this moment, my brain is fried from writing reviews. It always happens when the weather heats up. Everything I see in stores have to do with bronzers and such. I do have bronzers but I don't depend on them for a make up look so I really don't have much to report during the summer when it comes to cosmetics.

My Very Small Collection of Holographic Nail Polish
I have a small collection of holographic nail polish. Holographics are my favorite and sometimes I wish I could transmit some holographic image as the sun hits them--"Obi Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope.." But since that possibility is in the near future, I will just show you some swatches of my collection.

Sue Devitt Eye Intensifier Pencils
My recent visit to Ulta, I was lucky enough to find a couple of Sue Devitt Eye Intensifier Pencils ($22USD) for 75% off! That brought them down to $5 and change. None of the pencils were tested and all were different colors. Make up karma was with me then.

Sally Beauty Supply Clearance
Yeah, it is that time of year where Sally Beauty Supply is clearing out their clearance stuff. This means more reductions. I admit I didn't go crazy but there was a lot of stuff at the one I went to, from straightening irons to eyelashes. Women were just in a hypnotic trance going through all the stuff. Me, I just went for the polish.

Drawing the Line
Eyeliner to me is a two handed job. One holds the brush and the other pulls the skin taut. If you don't need to use two hands then you either have perky lids or your eyeliner droops towards the end.

Blot Before You Plot Your Eyeliner
Application of eyeliner is a practiced skill but did you know how you prep the application is as important. The end result could be the difference between a great triumphant feeling or pure frustration. And, since eyeliner is one of the last eye products to apply onto the eye, you know that messing up and erasing the mistake is not really feasible.

PSA-Cinema Secrets Makeup Brush Sale
As you know, Cinema Secrets Filbert #2 brush is one of my holy grail eyeliner brushes. Here is your chance to get one at discount price. Cinema Secrets is having a sale on their brushes. The brushes are excellent quality and are very well made. Not only do they make the usual shaped brushes, they make the unconventional shaped ones which I posted here.
Check out the sale which ends May 31st. If you live outside the U.S.A., I believe they do offer international shipping. However, you might have to email them for a postage quote. Happy shopping! :-)

Eyeliners-Ready, Set, Hold On!
I really was going to make this a more in depth post but my brain isn't cooperating with me. Every tap on the keyboard is an act of thinking. I have writer's block and words aren't coming to me that easily so this will be a short and simple posting on eyeliners.

The Size and Firmness Does Matter….for Eyeliner Brushes
My first post introduced the brushes which I use for eyeliners. You might be wondering why these brushes and how did I pick them out? I judge them by size and firmness, they have to be small enough for the detailing of eyeliner yet firm enough to apply color smoothly and evenly.

It's All About Eyeliner
This week, I am going to do posts on eyelining, again. Why? Mostly because of my little cult. As an unknown beauty blog, I was pretty sure assumed that all your beauty questions were being answered by those wonderful gurus out there. I never expected any questions to be asked; therefore, I went on my merry way eyelining my eyes out. However, when I found certain questions popping up in emails about eyeliners in their various forms and the many brushes, I figured I should do a post or at least a couple of them to answer many questions that need to be answered or should be answered but not asked because of embarrassment.

My Thoughts on Simple Eye Make-Up Remover
In my recent post on Simple Skincare, I mentioned how content I was with this line and ended up buying more. Particularly, the Simple Eye Make-Up Remover. Even though my holy grail had been another brand (Rimmel), I decided to try this one and see if it pleased me.

It's a Pencil Shadow Not a Powder, I Told Myself-NARS Calabria
Okay, I fell off the wagon and bought this "shadow" pencil after my semi-official eyeshadow buying ban. What stupid reasoning am I using? I figured since it wasn't in pressed powder tablet form it would be okay. Yeah, just like saying to a recovering alcoholic--go ahead, eat those rum-soaked cake balls, they are in cake form!

No Longer a Doughnut, Maybe a Grape
After my glazing experience and my yearning to want more color in my hair which really stems from my ban from buying eyeshadow. I decided to go deeper into the depths of my haircolor obsession.

More Mineral Fusion Nail Lacquer
I have to say I was pleased with my first purchase of Mineral Fusion nail lacquer ($7.99USD) that I decided to buy more at Whole Foods. I figured since my Whole Foods is pretty much a ghost town in the make up department, I would have many choices of color to choose from.

I've Been Interviewed
By LiAnn for her blog Sparklecrack Central. If you don't know about her blog, you should because I consider it an encyclopedia of swatches on mostly indie brands of mineral makeup. She does include well known brands also like Bare Escentuals and MAC. She swatches everything from eyeshadow to nail polish. If the internet didn't exist, Sparkle Crack Central would be a huge book of color that I would leaf through for hours just to gaze at the many colors. Check it out and check out my interview here. If you are on Twitter, you can follow her @sparklecrackHQ.

Happy Mother's Day
Today is Mother's Day here in the U.S. and I wish all you mums a happy one! As you know my mum is a makeup addict like me. No, it's the other way around, I am a makeup addict because of her. I still haven't found which chromosome this trait lies. Anyway, I am spending the day with her.

Urban Decay's Woodstock Eye Pencil-It isn't Just Peace, Love, and Rock 'n Roll
I have to admit that I envy the younger generation for having access to a
vast array of colorful make up. In my time it was either the bright
clown colors of a theatrical line or the antiquated colors of the
cosmetic counter. Nothing in between and nothing readily available. Now, when I see these colors show up in eyeliner form, something
stirs up inside me.

Make Up For Ever-Rouge Artist Natural Lipsticks
An eyeshadow buying ban is really hard on someone who has an obsession with colorful pressed talc tablets, but with that comes a new point of view: lips. I admit I have been ignoring my lips in terms of passing up many lipcolors. So, to avoid a void in my makeup obsession, I recently purchased two of Make Up For Ever's new lipsticks.

My Claim to Fame-Not Really, Just My Smashbox Shades of Fame Palette
I bought this palette before I announced my eyeshadow buying ban, so I am safe and you could say this is my last eyeshadow buy for a while. (Damn me, I will be so grumpy until I can get through the initial withdrawal symptoms.) Like the Smashbox Softbox Palette, this is housed in the same style palette with a trial size Photo Finish Lid Primer (not shown).

You Seen It All Over the Net and Will See it Here-Glossybox the U.S. Edition
I know you have seen the many posts on many blogs of this first Glossybox of the U.S. Edition. I for one was surprised to be contacted by them to receive one for review. Can I say from all the other sampler boxes I have seen on the net from other blogs, this one is icing on the cake.

Keeping my Skincare Simple-Simple Skincare
My two social media addictions appear to be Twitter and Pinterest. Just awful that these sites have made me procrastinate such important stuff such as laundry. Anyway, due to my constant presence on Twitter, I have gained enough Klout to qualify me for products by Simple, a UK brand that is now in the States.

What Do I Have in Common with a Doughnut? I am Glazed
Lately, thanks to the warm weather (and eventually to the searing and sautéed heat) my makeup has become minimal. This leaves me with space in my brain usually the part thinking about color, and an empty space doesn't leave me happy. I have to fill it with something, thus my hair.
