Sweeten Your Cheeks with Manna Kadar Sweet Cheeks

*Post originally written by Olivia J on The Unknown Beauty Blog.*

It is not that I forgot to review this product.  It just became a part of my makeup routine, fitting right into everything perfectly like a solved puzzle.  You may be wondering how can that be?  Well for one, the product is aptly named Sweet Cheeks ($19) by Manna Kadar Cosmetics, and it does give that perfect color of sweetness on the cheeks.

Eyeshadow Palettes: Jemma Kidd Makeup School Cosmetics

*Post originally written by Olivia J on The Unknown Beauty Blog.*

After some makeup clean up last year, I had some "space" in my traincases.  Spaces that should be left empty because I had all that I needed.  But my weakness in a good sale like the one B-glowing has just had me gazing at the available eyeshadows.  I really didn't need more eyeshadows but these were too good to pass up and I never tried Jemma Kidd.

Faster Foundation Application with Touch Face Stippling Sponge

*Post originally written by Olivia J on The Unknown Beauty Blog.*

As you know in my first post on the Touch Face Vibrating Sponge (£22-£34), I raved and raved about it.  Well, I am now addicted to it and have to reach for the climactic bliss every morning when I apply my foundation, and nightly for the ecstatic buzz of my moisturizer.  Yes, I use it twice a day and my makeup life has never been better!

Look, What Came in My January Starbox

*Post originally written by Olivia J on The Unknown Beauty Blog.*
* I bought this*

This is my second shipment of Starbox.  I started last month when they offered a full size 15 color eyeshadow palette.  You can read my review of it here.  This month turns out purely to be a surprised since there weren't many hints as to what was to be in the box. I subscribe to Starbox because it is one of the monthly subscription beauty boxes that deals only with makeup.  And as a makeup addict, a monthly payment of $15 + 1.98 for shipping within the U.S. is a very good price (higher for international) for some monthly makeup trinkets.

I Like Big Chubby Lip Pencils - CoverGirl LipPerfection Jumbo Gloss

*Post originally written by Olivia J on The Unknown Beauty Blog.*

My recent excursion to the drugstore only resulted in a simple single purchase, the CoverGirl LipPerfection in Scarlet Twist ($9).  I have seen other drugstore brands with their cute chubby pencils and ignored them.  Maybe, I shouldn't anymore.  I have two chubby retractable lip pencils from Tarte which I like and wondered if this CoverGirl chubby and saturated lip balm stacked up to them.

Flossing Between the Pans Or How I Depot Makeup without Heat

*Post originally written by Olivia J on The Unknown Beauty Blog.*

And an Urban Decay Naked Basics ($27) upgrade.  My first stint as a depotter occurred back in the tail end of the 1970's.  I sat in my bedroom admiring my Borghese GWP palette.  My first real make up palette from a cosmetic counter line.  How I gazed at it for hours until I noticed one of the shadows had loosened from the base.  I was devastated.  Then I thought, if I could remove the rest of the shadows and just add other makeup items that I liked, I could have my own ultimate customized palette!  But how would I remove the eyeshadows?

Juice Beauty: Stem Cellular Repair CC Cream

*Post originally written by Olivia J on The Unknown Beauty Blog.*

That's right I skipped the small size A and B's and went straight for my cup size C.  Oh wait, this post isn't about lingerie is it?  Okay, just ignore what I said unless you are buying me lingerie.

L'Oreal True Match - The Portable Drugstore Concealer

*Post originally written by Olivia J on The Unknown Beauty Blog.*

I don't consider myself a makeup snob but I do have my doubts about drugstore makeup due to many disappointments.  However, concealers have been impressing me lately and here is another one that I like, L'Oréal True Match Super Blendable Crayon Concealer ($9usd).

A Close Look at My Small Collection of Highlighters

*Post originally written by Olivia J on The Unknown Beauty Blog.*

I honestly have to say that compared to other makeup junkies, my collection of cosmetics is small.  I do end up giving away stuff to people who would never have the opportunity to try some products due to their income status and I also purge expired products for health reasons.  After my recent purge I noticed my highlighters outnumbered my bronzers by 4 to 1.  Were there differences amongst these highlighters?  I had to take a closer look.

Wantable Products from My Wantable Box - A Deeper Look

*Post originally written by Olivia J on The Unknown Beauty Blog.*

During the holidays, I received a box from Wantable.com  I didn't get to fully show some of the products which has left me with tremendous blogging guilt.  In this post, you get a better peek of what was inside my box.

Pinked in the Eye - Maybelline Color Tattoo Review

*Post originally written by Olivia J on The Unknown Beauty Blog.*

One of my first purchases for 2013 happens to be a drugstore item, the Maybelline Color Tattoo Metal in Inked in Pink ($7USD.  I know you are probably thinking why only one small purchase?  Well, I recently had to dump (trash) about 5 pounds (could have weighed more) of make up due to expiration, color changes, and just boredom.  So, when replacing buying new items, I have been really analyzing what colors I actually will where than what I will stare at and hoard.

Bronzing into a Beauty with Manna Kadar Bronze Beauty

*Post originally written by Olivia J on The Unknown Beauty Blog.*

I am not one to self tan.  In fact, I stay with my moontan all year round making people squint during the summer due to the glare from the paleness of my legs!  However, with a sample of Manna Kadar Bronze Beauty Self Tanning Lotion (full 4oz. size retails for $24USD), I decided to color my pasty looking legs.

Pantone Picks Emerald and I Pick ...

*Post originally written by Olivia J on The Unknown Beauty Blog.*

Pic taken from Pantone.com

Pantone color of the year is Emerald, specifically 17-5641.  This is a very beautiful jewel-toned green.  Nothing faded or bland, just a luscious green that endures all that is bad to make life good.  For me this color is epitomized by not makeup but my new favorite show of the year.

Top Ten Cosmetic Picks of 2012

*Post originally written by Olivia J on The Unknown Beauty Blog.*

Everyone is doing their best picks of the year and I thought I would do mine.  Before I start I have to thank Birkinbagbeauty for tagging me for my Top 12 items.  At that time I had my draft of my top ten for 2012 list and I just couldn't do the tag because it would have revealed my picks.  I apologize for not doing the tag then but now here are my picks for 2012.

Adorned with Cake - Mia Bellezza Cake Eyeliner

*Post originally written by Olivia J on The Unknown Beauty Blog.*
*PR Sample.

One of the products included in my Wantable.com box  was a cake eyeliner by Mia Bellezza (pronounced MEE-ah Behl-LETS-sah) or My Beauty.  This makeup line prides itself to be dye free, wax free, oil free, fragrance free, and paraben free.  But how is the performance of a simple cake eyeliner?

Basically Naked - Urban Decay Naked Basics

*Post originally written by Olivia J on The Unknown Beauty Blog.*

You know how it is when you see a new eyeshadow palette especially if you are a neutral eyeshadow lover and it is by Urban Decay -- you want it badly!  Even though there are several palettes out there offering colors that are really easily accessible individually and probably already owned by many as basics in their stash; Urban Decay Naked Basics ($27) puts them all together in one handy sized palette.

What to Expect from this Blog for 2013

As a beauty blogger who has a budget of close to nil for this blog, I can tell you I will be busking blogger for 2013.  I will be that one person band who will blog, tweet, socialize, pin, design, draw, and clang the cymbals on my knees for you to read this blog.
