Joocyee is a C Beauty line whose fashionable trending makeup encompasses the tastes of many makeup fans including me. The brand is the older sister to Judydoll who prefers to keep that bit of fun and youth within its line.
Joocyee added a 10 Velvet Cream blushes to its line. These blushes aren't the balmy glassy type, nor are they the flat, matte, whitening primer like texture. These blushes have the characteristics of the western luxury beauty brands but without the luxury beauty price. You can find them priced anywhere from $15 to $20 with a substantial 6 grams amount of color.
I ordered one of these blushes twice on Amazon but cancelled both times due to guilt. I had enough blushes and this one wouldn't make a difference, right? Third time is the charm. I pushed and I was wrong! I ended up buying 5 out of the 10 blushes. It might be early for me to say this, these are my holy grail for cream blushes. (For powder blushes, my holy grail ones are Girlcult.)
- M03 Sheer Pink-Purple - lilac
- M06 Cool Rose Pink - muted reddish rose pink
Both of these blushes have an underlying pink to them.
- M05 Warm Cinnamon Nude - nude rose
- M07 Natural Nude nude beige
- M10 Woody Caramel Brown - nude red
These three are in the nude tone category, or how Asian brands describe as the milky tea color. They are all warm tones but for some reason and it could be the fall lighting, these blushes change with the intensity of the sun. So, if you find them wrong in the season you are in now, save them for a different season and they will be a slightly different shade. The Woody Caramel Brown surprisingly looks very warm, but it just works so nicely on olive skin tones from light to dark. These blushes are also dark skin friendly.
The texture of these blushes are a hard cream which set to a smooth powder like finish. The best tools are the fingers and the sponges like Momo's Workshop work perfectly. Brushes work if they are firm. These blushes are buildable and will not look white or splotchy on the skin. They don't sink into the pores or wrinkles or look dry. They are mature-skin friendly which is why they are my holy grail. And, there is no learning curve.
Other ways to use these blushes are as a neutralizer. If you have dark circles, choose the color M02 (Energizing Milky Apricot) to neutralize. The smoothness and the ease of application will prep the skin for the application of concealer on top.
If you never tried Asian brand blushes or are still looking for that right one, try Joocyee Velvet Creams because they do not disappoint in price and formulation. I bought these from Amazon where Joocyee is the official seller. Check the brand out, there are more reasonably priced items from this brand!
