Clio Pro Eye Palette Air

I know there are many fans of the K Beauty line, Clio. Many raved about the eyeshadow palettes. If I didn't try one before my earthly self expired, I thought I would be missing out and I would have to be reincarnated just for this line.

I bought this Clio Pro Eye Palette Air (sounds like some eyePad thing) in Senior Latte. I figured I am a senior (wise owl, mature woman) and this palette would fit right in. The palette consists of 12 colors. I would really only categorize them as 3: ivory beige, peach beige, and brown beige. The gradations look so appealing but they really end up looking the same on the skin.

Texture and Formulation

I find the texture okay. I expected more because of the raves saying it was smooth and buttery. I have to disagree. It is more like a dehydrated butter like feel, powdery and heavy. I would equate the texture to a powder foundation - thick.

Pigment

Like I mentioned, even though there are 12 colors, it is so much easier to swipe a brush into 4 colors at once, or 6 colors at once, or whatever; and the colors would still end up pretty much the same.

This palette is only made for the most ghostly white skin to about porcelain. I am a light neutral olive skin tone that never hits the medium skin tone spectrum. I have to apply so much which ends up chalky looking.

Conclusion

I don't know how other Clio Pro Eye Palette Air ones are like. I just know this one is okay. I wouldn't really give it high marks as mature-friendly because it is powdery and using an eye primer makes it look worse, the powder sinks into the lines. This also makes it look "thicker" on mature eyes.

I would say these are good for beginners in makeup and for the teen just getting into makeup. For others, it would be good for ones who like the subtle pigment. Other than that, I would say Jung Saem Mool eye palettes are best for mature skin.

A quiet little corner of beauty.
