Model 21 Eyelash Review

*Post originally written by Olivia J on The Unknown Beauty Blog.*

I admit that I am not one that wears false lashes much.  I pretty much live with what I have and go on with life.  One reason why I don't wear false lashes, they aren't exactly cheap.  The cheapest for just a pair is about $4.  Of course, buying them in bulk would be cheaper, but what would I do with 100 pairs of lashes when I just need a couple and in different styles?  This is where Model 21 Eyelashes comes in.

OPI Just Spotted the Lizard - Another Chanel Peridot Dupe

*Post originally written by Olivia J on The Unknown Beauty Blog.*

As I mentioned in my last post on Chanel Peridot duplicates here, I wasn't about to go searching for a color that would sell out quickly.  I figured if I ran into it, then luck was on my side.  Luck was on my side when I saw a basket of OPI colors from the Spiderman collection.

Why Can't My Eyeliner Look Like Joan Holloway Harris?

*Post originally written by Olivia J on The Unknown Beauty Blog.*

In my last tutorial on Into the Palette, I explain the technique of winged eyeliner.  Every time I include this eyeliner look, I am asked a couple of questions about this.  Readers begin to wonder what the difference is between what is done most of the time by many and what is done in the posts.

GAP Gold Rush - A Chanel Peridot Dupe

*Post originally written by Olivia J on The Unknown Beauty Blog.*

I like my Chanel Peridot even though I spent a ludicrous price for it at the counter but after all it is Chanel and I am allowed to splurge once in a while.  Then, I see the duplicates of this polish and I am thinking, I don't need them because I have the original.  Besides, finding them is a hassle and most likely they are sold out.  However, if I ever ran into the dupes without any effort, I figured it as a sign to buy it!  The sign came when I went to the Gap for some t-shirts and in that little plastic bin standing all alone amongst the pretty pinks, steel greasy, and glitter polishes…..

Giovanni D:tox Replenishing Facial Moisturizer

When I buy skincare, it falls into the following categories:
  • Ridiculously expensive that I expect something magical to happen when applied
  • So cheap that it is crappy
  • Always dependable.

No Lies about Ole Henriksen Truth Serum Collagen Booster

*Post originally written by Olivia J on The Unknown Beauty Blog.*

When I think of truth serum, immediately I think of those spy movies where sodium pantethol is used to interrogate the spy, under the relaxed state the spy blurts out truths about his life and mission.  Nothing like Hollywood fiction to make one believe a drug can have such a smooth outcome.  But is Ole Henriksen Truth Serum Collagen Booster the sodium pantethol of skincare or is it just another skin care product with some fictional truth?

Giovanni D:Tox System Purifying Facial Cleanser

My recent jaunt to Whole Foods had me looking for a facial cleanser.  I really didn't want something  ludicrously expensive.  My criteria consisted of an affordably priced, gentle yet effective but non-drying formula.  I found this Giovanni D:Tox System Purifying Facial Cleanser ($9.95USD).

I Want My Revenge!

*Post originally written by Olivia J on The Unknown Beauty Blog.*

I never got around to watching the tv show Revenge when it first started last fall, but thanks to Hulu I got to watch this show in one run.  I am glad I did because waiting for the episodes weekly would have me gnawing at my make up brushes!
