Hitting Pan on Club Cosmetics Suppin Powder

Hitting pan or getting to the bottom of the barrel of a makeup product just gives you that feeling of accomplishment. You know you aren't wasting your money which in this day and age is very precious!

My feeling of accomplishment happened when I saw the little heart gleaming at the bottom of my Club Suppin Powder tin. I had been using it more faithfully the last six months, day and night. It just made my skin feel good and it settled the tackiness from my skin care.

Suppin means "bare face" in Japanese and this J-Beauty (Japanese Beauty) item is one that really works to enhance that meaning. Not only does this work to smooth the skin without any feeling of cakiness or dryness, it works to combine with the skin care, not absorb it. If you never tried it, you will feel the difference from other powders because it has this cooling feeling. I am not talking some minty type of cooling just some coolness when applied. For those who have tried this, you know.

How can a powder work with skin care? I wondered the same thing. In the beginning I only used it in the mornings in the way it is not intended, to set makeup. This diluted my makeup. Even though this powder is meant for the entire spectrum of skin color (and all sexes), it does end up with a white cast. This is normal because it is NOT MEANT FOR MAKEUP. IT IS FOR SKIN CARE and to prep the skin to look flawless without makeup. I still like to wear makeup but no foundation and this acts like a primer for my skin.

I did the usual skin care routine finishing with my sunscreen. Then, I would set it with this powder. I found the included puff applied too much and, instead, used a brush concentrating on the areas that felt greasy. After that, the powder would settle the tackiness and I applied my concealer and the other steps in makeup. I had been doing it this way for months and my makeup worked out fine. My skin wasn't bothered by the layers of skin care and makeup.

What made me hit pan on this product occurred when I started to use it at night. My freshly washed hair would stick to my face from the skin care. I used the Suppin powder to set it and slept with it on. It is meant to be slept in. When I woke up, my skin nourished and not dry.

Let me summarize:
  • Powder meant for skin care only
  • Can be worn in the daytime to set skin care
  • Can be worn at night and slept in
  • Makeup minimalists need this powder
  • Everyone needs this powder

There are several different tins for this powder and I really don't know what the difference is except maybe the light scent of them. I don't think mine had a scent, though. I don't remember but I do remember it being advertised as a brightening powder. I just think there is no difference and the brand just wants you to collect the different tins!

You can find the Club Suppin powder from various places including Amazon. I get mine from Yami (referral link). Knowing I will finish this powder, I did purchase a backup. I am not exaggerating when I say I can't live without it. Even on days I don't wear makeup, it just fulfills my makeup ritual!
