Hince is a Korean beauty brand for makeup lovers who just want to enhance their own natural beauty. Don't expect a palette of bold and gothic colors from this brand, only soft and milky tones.
I bought the Hince True Dimension Radiance Balms. These are the ones similar or even duplicates to the Chanel Baume Essentials, but at half the price (or even more since the price of it has gone up). If you check the ingredients, they aren't exact but they do work about the same, except you don't get the luxurious feeling of carrying the double C's in your hand.

These multi-use sticks are almost like the emperor's new clothes. They do have a slight hint of color and they provide that glassy, balmy glow. Some people describe this as greasy, I don't quite agree. They aren't the slippery, loose, greasy type like vaseline. These balms are more like a stiff pomade type, they stay in the area where they are applied. Powdering after application helps with the balmy feel but that really defeats the purpose of the glassy glow.
I started out with just 2 sticks but thanks to Amazon Black Friday deals last year, I ended up with a collection minus 2 colors. Amazon had a great deal on these on that weekend, they were half price which made them $11 each ($22 regular price) AND if you bought two (which would be the same as the price of one), you got a color of your choice free. I had no willpower or maybe I did because I didn't get the last two colors to complete my collection!
The colors:
- Clear - just a balmy glow and most versatile
- Light - soft and shimmery, NO GLITTER. Mix with concealer to make it glowing.
- Dawn Ray - peach brown. A warm nude blush or sunkissed glow.
- Shelly Pink - barely there pink. A pink everyone can wear.
- Lil Mauve - cool tone berry.
These are multi-use sticks. These can be used anywhere on the face. As an eyeshadow, they are like eyegloss, but if you apply makeup on top, they will crease. If you just like to use it alone then enjoy.
They are versatile too. I mix these with Sian Richards lip products to get a glossier finish. The clear one is useful for this. Any one of them can be used on the brows and take some into the hands and spread it onto the hair like a pomade. (I wouldn't use straight onto the hair.) On the lips, these provide a very glassy finish with barely any color.
For me, I use these on the cheeks, sometimes on top of makeup without any disturbance to the layer below. On my no makeup days, these come in handy. They just provide a healthy tint to the skin.
Each stick contains 10 grams which is another reason why I bought these. Other, brands like L'Oreal only offer half this amount!

- Twice the amount of L'Oreal Lumi stick.
- Not greasy like the Miracle Balm.
- Gives a glassy finish.
- Doesn't migrate.
- Can be mixed with other products.
These might be just gimmicky sticks but they do have a place in my makeup. They offer some sense of makeup security and a quick finish on those in-the-hurry days. If you have some curiosity, go for it. Like I said, it is versatile and you can experiment with other products like powder eyeshadow, mix them together!
