Bloggy Going on a Break

This blog and Into the Palette (well, ITP has had a long break I admit) are going on a break because I need a break since I have total writer's block right now when it comes to makeup.  I still have some stuff to write up but my brain is just blocked.  Maybe, I have used all the gigabytes in my brain or I have to do a brain defragment because I can't organize or write anything on the stuff I have.  So, please forgive me while I take this little break.  I can still be reached via email, via your comments, and Twitter.  Again I apologize and so does my brain.

Temptu Part. 4-The Pro Stuff

After trying the consumer products, I decided to try some of the pro products.  I bought the S/B Primer, S/B Mixing Medium, Highlighter/Blush set, and S/B foundation in Sand.  I also bought another Temptu concealer wheel since my mum stole the previous one.

Temptu-Part 3

Temptu blush, highlighter, and foundation airpod

*Warm Beige, blush in Vintage Ruby-pink red, and highlighter in Pink Pearl-shimmery light pink are the pods that I have.  They are easily interchangeable during the makeup application process.  What may be difficult is getting used to the concept of airbrushing.  As I used this more I found myself trying to retrain my brain in what is the way to apply foundation or makeup.

Temptu-Part 1

I have a lot to say about Temptu and I can't do it in one post because their products intrigue me.  The more I play with their stuff, the more versatility I find in them.  Therefore, I will do a series of posts that will cover their consumer-friendly airbrush system to their pro products.  I will also give some tips and tricks which could possibly answer some questions about airbrushing on the consumer level.

Vapour Organic Beauty-Mesmerize Eye Colors and Trick Stick

I was really hesitant on buying these cream sticks by Vapour Organic Beauty because like the co-founder Eric Sakas, I have been disappointed by the performance of many organic makeup lines.  Most I have tried just feel like colored moisturizers and pretty much perform like them.  Since, I was not about to be duped by the word "organic" again, I bought these from ShopNBC because they have a great return policy.  Did I return them? NO!

Cool Video-Vancouver Film Student Graduates Show How to Age a Person with Prosthetics

If you notice the title of my blog it is The Land of Makeup Obscurity and below it the unknown beauty blog.  To me the title alone is not only aimed at products that inspire beautiful editorial looks, but the other part of makeup:  Special FX.  And the "unknown beauty" can be translated as the time and patience these MA's put into his or her work.

Kutsuwa Dr. Ion Super Mega Pencil Case

Japanese pencil cases are in a category of their own.  They are well organized bags with little slots, pockets, and elastic bands to hold your pens, pencils, erasers, tape, paper, etc.  They organize everything neatly, and I often wondered why cosmetic cases were never made like these bags.  Most of the cosmetic bags that I have bought do not organize as much as they should; they just have one or two zippered sections or flaps that hold your brushes or just regular zippered sections where you just stuff everything into it.  Not really any organization because in the end you just dump everything onto the counter and often, if you are traveling, you will be missing an item because unknowingly it rolled off the bathroom counter--usually it is your most prized item too.

Three Custom Color Specialists Lipsticks in Noir and Simply Beautiful

When my flamboyant friend commented that my lips were "oh so 2000", I knew it was time to let go of my nude lipsticks.  He was right, I had to move on and buy lipsticks that looked like lipstick and not concealer.  My lipstick buying odyssey took me to the Three Custom Colors website where I bought the Noir Sheer Lipstick and the Simply Beautiful in semi matte.
