Recently, I received a box from Beauty Box 5 to review. This is another sampling program which offers four to five samples per month from various brands including Becca and Makeup Geek. My box contained neither of these but I am not entirely disappointed either.

Best of the Best Color Eyeshadows-Sugarpill Cosmetics Burning Heart Palette
I first mentioned Sugarpill Cosmetics about two years ago in this post. I have to admit that when it comes to wearing eyeshadow out in public, I am the boring one and wear mostly neutrals while my mum wears the colors. Due to this habit, I do have a vast array of colors that I use for eyeliners. (Like you didn't know I like eyeliners!) And out of all my colored shadow whether they be a pro brand, cosmetic brand, or drugstore brand; Sugarpill Cosmetics are the best!

The I-Liner Chronicles-The Beach Scene
Okay, so you saw my last post on the beach nails which was a fair attempt at nail art. I decided to apply these colors in eyeliner form. Of course, not the actual nail polish colors themselves although I do wish that some of my nail polish colors had eyeliner partners. (I am disappointed at the lack of eyeliner colors available compared to nail polish.) I tried to find similar colors in eyeshadow form or mixed colors to make a close match. Here is what I came up with.

Trying to Nail the Beach
When I was a teen I used to do a lot of nail art. I can't say I was good at it but I can tell you I had a lot more patience back then. Today, I just don't have that much patience and wondered why. I realized when the brain wants to relax; it just refuses to do anything else than watch tv or read a book. But somehow, this time I have coaxed my brain into doing something on my nails other than just painting them with one color. I thought about the beach.

Hey Ombré-Look at My Eyeliner
Ombré appears to be the fashionable thing today and it is everywhere from hair to nails. I for one have no talent when it comes to doing my nails. Actually, I am just lazy and would rather allow my brain to rest and ogle over the hot looking young guys like Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles on my television. As for hair, I am slightly baffled because I had that look back in the 80's and it was called growing-out-my-roots. But no matter, with the economy tanking, and haircolor not being cheap. Putting a fashionable name on a process will always pique everyone's interest.

EOTDs that Never Made It Just Because
Or did they and I don't remember. I had some pictures of some eye looks I did on myself. For one reason or another I never posted them. I think the main reason could have been that I forgot what I had used thus the face chart I created which I never use.

My Favorite Hairbrush-Widu
Yes, I am still on Pinterest and yes, this blog is slowing down. But, I figured I would write about whatever is on my mind. What popped into my mind was my hairbrush-Widu. Nothing to get excited about. It isn't really a want or a need but a "have" product that loses its spotlight because it isn't anything new to me. I guess you could say it is a holy grail product since I haven't changed brands for about 20 years! Yikes, that long!

Call Me Strange, I Have Feelings
When people ask me how to put on makeup, I am a bit shocked. For one, I never consider myself an expert, totally far from it. Two, when I say, learn to feel it. That becomes more of a shocker!

Inner Beauty and Outer Beauty
First and foremost, I would like to thank everyone for their comments on my decision to discontinue my other blog. I really liked that blog and working with all the different people and shapes. This blog, The Unknown Beauty Blog, will still be up but probably slow down a bit. (Blame it on Pinterest! I love being there.) I guess what I liked most about doing the other blog was the different people that volunteered. It was interesting to see how the camera captured everyone's inner beauty.

A Farewell
Of sorts. I am posting this on both of my blogs just in case. I am going to stop Into the Palette. I won't be posting anymore posts and could eventually go into private mode where it will be via members only or invitation. So I am putting the GFC back up.
You could say I was waiting for some signs to stop but it took me some convincing. I had a talk with a pro makeup artist friend and told him all my feelings about the blogs. He asked me one important question, "Are you having fun?" I hesitated my answer. I started tearing up because everything came to light. (And, I am tearing up as I write this post.)
I loved starting Into the Palette because it was fun in the beginning and it started on a dare. My friend and I were just learning about Photoshopping and GIMP. We would take pictures of each other and just manipulate them. Laughed until we almost peed our pants from the silliness at times but then I thought, maybe I could use pictures from all over the world. People I couldn't meet at the moment in real life and use them as "models". What a fun idea!
Yes, it was fun. What I didn't expect was for people to take things so seriously that they wanted to apply and learn make up like a pro. This is when I knew I had to stop.
I have friends in the business and respect them dearly. Not only are they fantastic artists, they also live within the "rules" of their profession. There are many rules, more unwritten than written. I don't mean makeup rules but etiquette rules. The true pros some which you probably never heard of because they don't have time to do YouTube. They stay within their successful range because not only are they good at their profession, but they know when to keep their mouth shut and just move along their career path.
Well, I believe it is time for me to shut my mouth and just enjoy the internet. I don't know what impact I had and nor did I expect to have any. However, I did like hearing from everyone who enjoyed Into the Palette.
Goodbye and Good Luck to everyone! I love you all and all the memories you have given me!
