Some of the names for these pencils sounds like my grocery list: Yogurt, Milk, Cottage Cheese, Strawberry Milk. And, these are the ones that make a good eyebase. I admit though that they can crease on some eyes and a primer may be necessary. I have been testing these out without any primer and since it is winter they have not creased with powder shadow on top. The texture makes the powder shadow stick to them which I like in a pencil and it brings out the intensity of the color if using a similar color as the powder. You can use these pencils alone but they do sheer out and just give that glow on the lid when used on bare skin.
The Yellow pencil can be used as a neutralizer. Oyster and Lavender are great eyebases for Asians or anyone that has enough yellow/olive/brown in their skin. These colors will brighten the eyes for the powders on top without making them turn too brown or too warm.
These are a nice bunch of pencils for the price of $4.50 each. And the variety of colors can be matched practically to any eyeshadow loose or pressed bringing another combination of textures that will drive you mad with experimentation!
